WORKING GROUPS

SRI LANKA ASSOCIATION OF AIRLINE REPRESENTATIVES

At present the membership consists of 32 airline GSAs in Sri Lanka. The Chairman & Executive Committee Members (the Immediate Past President is a member of the Ex-co) are elected at an annual general meeting to guide the association on behalf of the general membership.

Executive Committee meetings and General Meetings (with the full membership) are conducted every alternate month.

Industry Committee

Mrs. Dushy Jayaweera , Mr. Eustace Silva , Mr. Gerard Victoria, Mr. Ravi Widylankara, Mr. Gyan Amerasinghe, Mrs. Thanuja Lankathileke, Mrs. Parveen Dassanayake, Mr. Shamith Wijehileke & Mr. Dumindu Amaratunga.

The Industry Committee engages in discussions and negotiations with all industry stakeholders to seek solutions and common grounds to support the effective operation of its membership, while safeguarding the interests of Airline Principals.

SLAAR membership consists of 38 Passenger and Cargo General Sales Agencies which represent foreign Airline principals in Passenger and Cargo.

 

Training Committee

SLAAR Training Committee is famed for organizing regular skill development activities which are in line with industry requirements. Each program is designed to support the membership to offer excellent service to their customers, while upskilling their team members and assisting their business plans. Our training plans consist of workshops, training programs, familiarization tours, quiz competitions, etc.

 

Social Committee

The Social Committee organizes exciting and fun events creating opportunities to network, cultivate comradery and build work-life balance. We host an array of sporting events, seasonal events, competitions, interactive events annually, which are well participated by the industry.

CSR Committee

‘Giving back to the society is as old as civilization’. The CSR committee draws resources to play a socially responsible role in the communities we live in, to make an impact on Sri Lanka at large. We hold ourselves accountable to add value to uplift the lives of people and to safeguard the environment.

Public Relations Committee

The PR committee ensures, it creates awareness of the goals of SLAAR as a credible Association. Focused action plans which includes components such as audience, media, medium, news releases are intricately connected to passionately drive and enhance the public image of the Association.

The Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives was formed on the 22 June 1993 with the primary goal of providing the off-line Airlines with an opportunity to voice their difficulties, to seek common solutions as well as to discuss matters pertaining to their day-to-day operations.
